		<description><![CDATA[While helping move a patient, the bed began to roll and Tillotson lost her balance, bounced off the wall, and struck her right knee against the wall.  She was diagnosed as having a torn lateral meniscus and degenerative changes involving the medial meniscus related to arthritis.  A total knee replacement was recommended.  Dr. Stechcan opined that &#8220;her pre-existing arthritis is the major prevailing factor for the need for this surgery.&#8221;

		<description><![CDATA[Employer limits liability on appeal to Labor and Industrial Relations Commission (LIRC).
Rick Montgomery recently obtained a decision from the LIRC reducing a permanent total award by the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) to 5% of each elbow with permanent total benefits assessed against the Second Injury Fund.

		<description><![CDATA[The carpal tunnel is a narrow passageway &#8211; about as big around as your thumb &#8211; located on the palm side of your wrist.  This tunnel protects a main nerve to your hand and nine tendons that bend your fingers.  Pressure placed on the nerve produces the numbness, pain and, eventually, hand weakness that characterize carpal tunnel syndrome.
